SOLUTIONS
Solution 1 : side of Square = b
Area of square = b*b
L = 20% more than B ===> L = 1.2B
area = L*B = 1.2B * B

Ratio = 1.2B*B / B*B = 1.2 = 6/5

Solution 2 : Volume of earth taken out = 22/7 * 7 * 7 * 10 = 1540 m^3
Now, this taken out earth also makes a cylinder which we call outer cylinder.
So, Volume of Inner cylinder + earth volume = Volume of outer cylinder

or, Volume of outer cylinder - Volume of inner cylinder = volume of earth
22/7 *28*28*h - 22/7 *7*7*h = 1540
22/7 (784h - 49h) = 1540
h = (1540*7)/(22*759) = 490/735 = 2/3

Solution 3 : Option -- A
Solution 4: SP = 2400/75 * 125 = Rs. 4000
Solution 5 : Overall gain/loss = -8 + 10 - 8*10/100 = 1.2 means profit.
Profit = 1.2% * 54000 = Rs. 648
Solution 6 : Overall loss/gain = -25 + 30 - 25*30/100 = -2.5% means loss.
Loss = 2.5% of 62000 = Rs. 1550

Solution 7 : avg = 387/90 = 4.3
5.....................-2
........4.3............

6.3...................0.7 -----------> 9:1
No. of wrong ones = 90/10 * 1 = 9

Solution 8 : x + 5x + 10x = 640
16x = 640 ---> x = 40
Total = 3x = 120

Solution 9 : avg = 5000/85 = 1000/17
100.........................50
...........1000/17...........

150/7...................700/7 -----------> 3:14
No. of 50 Rs note = 85/17 * 14 = 70
Total value of 50Rs note = 70*50 = Rs. 3500

Solution : 10
80/120 = x/150 ----> x = 100
