Dear Friends,
With IBPS Mains getting over, it is better to set target for upcoming
exam. The upcoming exam list contains RBI Grade B, NABARD Assistant and
IBPS Clerk Pre. And the most number of students are targeting IBPS Clerk
Pre because of the two reasons:
(i) Number of Vacancies
(ii) The level of exam is easy
Friends, you need to understand the level of competition that you are
going to face in the clerical exam. In this article you will get to know
the important ingredients of the composition of Preliminary exam and
you need to be choosy while attempting questions. The IBPS PO
Preliminary exam showed various changes in the cut-off as compared to
the SBI PO Prelims. Friends, now you need to concentrate more on
individual cut off rather than focussing on overall cut off. We have
seen many students qualifying in the overall cut-off but failed to clear
individual cut-off. Now you should understand the need of the time. Now
is the time when you need to implement certain things and the most
important one is Smart Planning. Those who have planned it in the IBPS
PO Prelims have made it to the mains. Now let us make a section wise
strategy that will help us understand the coverage of the Prelims.
English
This subject proved to be the villain of the whole preliminary process.
We found many people clearing the overall cut-off but failed to clear
individual cut-off. Many students have been asking for the safe score
but it becomes more hard to predict anything after what happened in IBPS
PO Pre. So let us discuss what will be the role of English section in
the exam. Below is the pattern observed for all the Preliminary exam
held till now:
The best way to deal with it is to maintain the accuracy and attempt
less questions. You should also prioritize your topics as per your
convinience. Just make sure what topics you are comfortable with and
then go with it. You can choose Cloze test, Antonyms and Synonyms, Error
Detection first and then go for the next ones. Coming to the time
constraint, we can say 10-15 mins is sufficient and giving more time to
this section will not result in more marks. So its better to leave at
that point and move forward.
Maths
This is one of the toughest sections of the exam. Regular practice of
the questions are required to score smoothly in this section. That
pattern for IBPS Clerk will be a bit different from what we saw in other
preliminary exam. Below is the diagram depicting the probable topics
for IBPS Cler Pre exam.
After looking at the above diagram, you must be thinking whether
Quadratic Equation will come in the pre or not. But if it comes in the
exam, then it will replace one DI set. This is all that IBPS can play
with.
Reasoning
Coming to the favourite subject of all, we can say that IBPS will not
play with your mind, specially in Pre. We know what happened in IBPS PO
Mains but Pre will be exactly opposite to it. The puzzles will be tough
but not as much tough as mains puzzles. Below is the topic wise
distribution of Reasoning.
From the above diagram, it is clear that there will not be much
difference from the past exams and in fact it will remain closer to the
same pattern
The above analysis is based on both previous year pattern and what
changes occured recently. It doesn't mean that you have to leave other
topics. Just revise all the topics and make sure that you practice
regularly. This will help you overcome the pressure. We will keep
posting quizzes related to all the upcoming exams because we want to
make every moment count.
