Hey frnz...
I wud lyk 2 share wid u all... my best strategy to crack d AAO exam in one go...aiming fr gettin a Final Selection....
....DISCLAIMER: This is sumething SUBJECTIVE n may differ frm person to person...if u hav sum better strategy..stick to dat...dis is more sort f my own strategy
..........N i do dis after an in -depth n thorough analysis of past year trends,exam-pattern, previous cut offs,difficulty level, weightage of topics n criterion for final selection..
**Lets start.. on a +ve note...Interview for AAO after passing written exam will be of 50 marks...n passing marks will b 60%..i.e..30 out f 50.
In 2015...cutoff in written exam was 220 fr general & 215 fr obc... n interview cutoff 30 fr both gen & obc...the overall final cutoff fr selection was 269 fr gen n 256 fr obc.....out f 350
Similiarly... in 2013..final cutoff fr merit list was 277 fr gen n 255 fr obc. out f 350.
**Dat means if ur score was less dan 239.in written.as gen in year 2015... ..u myt hav cleared d written exam but myt not hav found a place in final merit list(assuming u scored just 30 marks in intrw.)
#note- getin more dan 30 marks in intervw...is not going to b an easy proposition ...)#
....So to b on safer side...try to score maximum in written xams..thats d reason.. i urge u all to aim for an attempt f about 250+ marks with very gud accuracy n an attempts f around 100-110 qs atleast excluding english...wid great accuracy will bring u a step closer to ur dreams.
#TIME MANAGEMENT IN WRITTEN EXAM# (My personal suggestion)
# 2015 sectional cutoffs(general) #
computer 6-8 min #32/60#
g a 8-10 min #10/60#
english 10-12 min ( u shud b doing jus 20-25 qs..not more dan dat)
total time taken= 25-30 min # eng= cutoff 9 questions out f 40#
==balance time 90-95 min
reasoning 40-45 min #36/90#
quants 45-50 min #21/90#
...no matter what..keep atleast 90 min for quant+ reasoning..n in dese 2 sections ..do minimum of 50-55 qs in 90-95 min time....u myt think..itne zaada kaise attempt kar paenge....guyss....competition is too huge..seats r very limited..u hav to do it..
jus imagine ..if u did..55 in reason.+ quants...surely dere will b some pan india who will do all 60 qs..so dey hav an edge of 5*3=15 marks..n competition me ek ek marks bahut important hota hai..
##HOW TO WRITE D XAM#
** Note...DF stands for Difficulty level
start with computer.....will b easy...i hope..do atleast 25+ in 6-8 min..if possible n u hav gud command in dis section... try more.....most scoring section DF- EASY
..........next do g.a ...if u prepare well ..can easily do 20-24 qs in 8-10 min..dont make wild guesses..(static gk -10-12 qs) DF-MODERATE
....now come to english..which myt be a bit tricky.. i say dis bcoz i personally felt my accuracy dropping to around 80% while solving 2015 paper..whereas my normal accuracy in eng is around 90-95%...in all d exams i gave....(eng being my strongest point).. .DF- ABOVE MODERATE
#I request u to leave d rearrangement n passage qs straight away..at max u can do antonym- synonym...if u get even 1 wrong in para jumble..u myt get all wrong..n loose 5-6 min time...for dose weak in eng can attempt max 25 qs..rest can do 20..safe to clear cutof f around 10.#
.... now come to reasoning....chances are dat 2 puzzles may b asked..1 easy n 1 bit tricky......i suggest leave both f dem fr last...DF- EASY TO MODERATE
do sylog+m/c input+coding+inequality+misc. topics comprising balance 20 qs in 30 min tym..aprox
#next come to quants....do simplification+series(dont get stuck if u cant crack it in abt 2min)+d.i+approximation.....20 qs in abt 30-35 min DF- EASY TO MODERATE
....Now ur left with balance ==25-30 minutes...
go to reasoning...n do d easy puzzle f 5 qs 7-8 min
go to quants...n sort out d easy 6-8 balance misc. qs which ur thorough wid..12-15 min
Balance ==6-8 min...can b used to do either d left puzzle or misc qs left by u in quants..

Believe me if u can execute dis strategy well in main xams n maximise ur attempts with gud enough accuracy..it can do wonders for u...n u myt very well crack d mystery of AAO securing urself a place in FINAL MERIT LIST
