Now as according to IBPS tentative calendar only 3 months left for IBPS PO which means you are not allowed to waste more time in just waiting for the official notification. If one wants to clear IBPS PO 2017 then he/she should not follow the saying “Jab Jago Tab Savera” because this is the time you should wake up and start preparing like gladiators before the war. So, better make your fight mode on & start studying like the way you never did before and then your flight will land at the right place.
Coming to the plan, first of all, I would like to begin with the basic paper pattern of IBPS PO Exam.
The online tests are conducted in two phases – Prelim and Main. The candidates have to qualify the Prelim round to appear in the Main Exam followed by an interview.
There comes 5 section in the exam paper and these are – Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English, Computer Knowledge and General Awareness. On the basis of candidates’ performance in each separate section, the official website declares the result. And from 2016 IBPS also provides sectional time for every section let us have a look on that.

As we have seen IBPS follow SBI and seeing the pattern of SBI PO mains this year which is completely shocking for all, it would not be shocking if IBPS comes up with the same. So, for that, you have to be ready to fight back and for that, you need proper strategy and plan.
Rather making plans for three months, go for several short goals starting from day then a week and than a month. Set up your daily target. We can say majorly you have 3 subjects i.e. English, Reasoning and Quant and the time left you with is also 3 months so, you can dedicately give one month to one subject. One can plan like plan one day for one subject and then next day for another subject and can make an alternative cycle like this. Other that 3 major sections current affair is something that can fetch you the winning marks and the only way to do this subject is to study this on daily basis don’t think that you will learn all news at last.
While doing the same keep one thing in mind always do a quality study, not a quantity one. Study according to your retainability power because you are the one who is well aware of that how much you can grasp efficiently. Make a wise use of the 24 hours with Pomodoro Technique, it is a healthy habit for anyone to take short breaks in between the studies.
When is comes to preparation another most important thing is “Revision”. Never miss our the daily revision, whatever you studied get a time in a day to revise that will help you retain that for maximum time. Confidence also plays a big role in your exam preparation as self-confidence is a key element in any exam. The more you are confident the more you feel relaxed and calm. And this is how you can attempt the questions with patience and confidence. But always know the difference between confidence and overconfidence as many people fail because of their overconfidence.
Now when you start for the preparation first see where you stand at present and then move further after analysing your weakness and strength. To go for this you must give one mock test seriously like a real exam and after finishing that analyse your marks, analyse you week sections and topics, find out your strength that in which section and topic you are good at and then make plans and strategy to start your preparation. For a smooth start, you should prioritise all the important topics of each section on paper.
Coming to a section wise part like reasoning, we have seen in SBI PO Mains 2017 this section converts into a puzzle section. There are lots of puzzles asked in this even direction based questions were in form of a puzzle. Puzzles were based on a calculation which was time-consuming also there was machine input-output with the diagrammatic input-output question where candidates themselves had to deduce the logic and relation from figures/ numbers in the diagram. which was quite tricky and time-consuming so, it becomes important to practice all types of puzzles a lot. Talking about English section this section comes up with lots of twists but the basic for this section remains the same i.e. vocabulary, grammar knowledge, and comprehension skill if you have these in you, you can deal with any type of questions.
The biggest change we saw in quantitative aptitude as that it not the only game of Data Interpretation, simplification/approximation, Number Series and quadratic equation/inequalities. If you need to score in this section you must practice miscellaneous topics like CI, SI, Profit Loss, Time and Work, Time Speed Distance, Probability etc. The Data Interpretation came in SBI PO this time were on miscellaneous topic and there were no questions from simplification/approximation so it becomes necessary to practice all topics you as don’t have the choice to leave any topic. To be good in this section, you should have fast calculation skills first.
In banking exam speed and accuracy is the most important thing that one should have and there is only one mantra to have this i.e Practice. The more you practice the more your speed and accuracy will be and you will be able to refine your knowledge.
